Key responsibilities
- Modelled each contract as a project with a work breakdown structure, budget, and cost centre hierarchy
- Implemented project budgeting and cost control, tracking committed, incurred, and forecast cost against budget
- Built project-driven procurement covering material requests, RFQs, supplier quotation comparison, and purchase orders
- Implemented subcontractor management — subcontract agreements, scope-of-work valuation, and subcontractor payment certificates
- Configured multi-site inventory so each project site operates its own store with material issuance and transfer tracking
- Implemented progress billing with interim payment certificates, retention withholding, and advance payment recovery
- Integrated site manpower and equipment usage so labour and plant costs post against the correct project
- Built management reporting on budget-versus-actual, project profitability, and cash position per contract
- Supported data migration, user acceptance testing, staff training, and go-live across departments
Technical contributions
- Designed custom DocTypes for subcontract agreements, interim payment certificates, and retention schedules
- Mapped projects and cost centres onto ERPNext accounting dimensions so every transaction carries project attribution
- Implemented Python server-side validation blocking purchase and subcontract commitments that would breach an approved project budget
- Automated retention and advance-payment recovery calculations on progress invoices
- Built multi-level approval workflows routed by project, document value, and role
- Developed budget-versus-actual, project profitability, and material consumption reports for management
- Produced bilingual Arabic and English print formats for contracts, purchase orders, and payment certificates
- Configured project-scoped role permissions so site teams see only their own contracts
